Strong Results in Locati’s First Sale of Season

Locati LLC, located in Pineville, Bucks County, PA held its September auction on the 17th. Nearly 500 lots were offered in a wide range of categories. Co-Owner Michael Locati commented, "We saw some great activity for the first sale of out season, we are now selling on five competing platforms that allow our lots to have exposure to the largest audience possible". Locati continued, "Clearly higher end pieces are excelling, mid range in the market is still struggling, but I think we are proving that creative marketing can help get better results across the board".

The leading lot 460, a gold shipwreck coin dated 1712 brought a strong $19,000 at a $10,000-$15,000 estimate. Some other notable lots include Lot 200, Pablo Picasso, Chouette Femme (A.R. 119) Vase which realized a strong price of $14,500 exceeding their estimate. Lot 92, a large bronze by Max Kalish (1891-1945) sold at the higher end of their estimate of $10,000-$15,000 for a solid $14,000. Lot 85, a piece of modernist jewelry by Cesar Baldaccini (1921 - 1998) sold for $12,500 within their estimate of $10,000-$15,000. “What the market is telling me is that in a high end market it is difficult to find pieces, but we are able to find a motivated group of bidders. Marketing efforts indicate we are reaching those bidders” continued Locati.
